The report is part of the Duke Margolis Capital Impact Council, an initiative focused on aligning incentives for investment that measurably advance health and lower costs

Mountain View, CA – February 24, 2026 - Twin Health, the AI Digital Twin pioneer for metabolic disease reversal and prevention, is featured in a new report from the Duke Margolis Capital Impact Council, Health Value Quality: A Framework to Advance Private Investment That Improves Health Care and Health. The Capital Impact Council is an initiative of leading private equity and venture capital to advance private capital investment that has a demonstrable impact on health care outcomes, access, and affordability, alongside financial returns.

Twin Health is featured as one of 11 case examples demonstrating how a deliberate health value evidence strategy can be embedded throughout an investment’s lifecycle. The report recognizes Twin for setting a new standard of care in metabolic health through its AI Digital Twin, a hyper-personalized digital replica of each member’s metabolism, paired with a dedicated clinical care team. The AI Digital Twin continuously learns and adapts to each member’s biology, enabling precision interventions to prevent, manage, and reverse chronic metabolic diseases by addressing their root cause.

The Twin Health case example highlights the results of a randomized controlled trial of Twin Health published in the New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst. The study found that 71% of participants using Twin’s intervention achieved normalized A1C levels without high-cost medications, compared to just 2.4% of people in the control group.  Participants also lost an average of 27 pounds, nearly double the weight loss seen in the control group, and 92% eliminated at least one diabetes medication. Those results translate to meaningful savings in medical and pharmacy costs for employers. Twin Health’s real-world results echo the RCT findings, delivering over $9,000 in average first-year savings per member through reductions in medical and pharmacy spending.

“For decades, metabolic diseases have been treated as lifelong and progressive: AI Digital Twin is changing that,” said Jahangir Mohammed, co-founder and CEO of Twin Health. “We now have evidence that the majority of members improve clinical values, reduce or eliminate medications, and prevent complications. People regain their health and employer healthcare costs decline.”

“Health Value Evidence Quality: A Framework to Advance Private Investment That Improves Health Care and Health” builds on the Duke-Margolis CIC initial framework, released in 2025.
